WMOT Solar Eclipse Party

WMOT Solar Eclipse Party, Lebanon, TN

Details Join WMOT Roots Radio 89.5 to view the solar eclipse on August 21st! Tennessee is one of the best places to watch this historic event, which will be visible only in the U.S. from coast to coast for the first time in our country's history. Our friend Dr. Cris Corley, an astronomy buff and music fan, has invited us to his farm at 6890 Beasleys Bend Road in rural Lebanon, Tennessee, far from the urban light pollution of street lights and LED signs that inhibit a clear view of solar eclipse totality.

Live music and food trucks will add to the excitement of one of the most unique events in our solar system. Visitors are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, a picnic lunch, and coolers (no glass). NASA-compliant solar viewing glasses will be provided courtesy of Friedman’s Army Navy Store. Please dress accordingly; the weather will likely be warm and you will need to walk down a hill to the event location.

Please RSVP to receive your e-tickets at EventBrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/wmot-eclipse-on-the-upper-cumberland-tickets-36876055274?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&aff=escb&utm-source=cp&utm-term=listing

Doors open at 8am.

Live music starts at 11:00 am. The eclipse begins at 11:58 am, and totality will occur at 1:27 pm. This event is free for WMOT members; $20 suggested donation for non-members.
